27 Sep: Joint Meeting with Oasis Toastmasters Club at Jordan, Kowloon (change of venue)
|
| |
|
As the Japanese Club meeting room is not available for hire on 27 September, our club will hold a joint meeting with the Oasis Toastmasters Club at Jordan, Kowloon.
Address: Rm 1105, 11/F, Scout Centre, Austin Road, Kowloon
A joint meeting has the benefit of bringing our club members together with other Toastmasters club members for sharing of ideas and provides an opportunity to speak to a larger audience.
Do mark this change in your diary and we look forward to seeing you in a different venue at our joint meeting.

Upcoming Humorous Speech, and Evaluation Workshops! |
| |
|
Dear Members and Guests,
We have often heard from our experienced and distinguished Toastmasters that to further improve our public speaking skills, we must push ourselves to take part in contests.
With the Club's Evaluation Speech and Humorous Speech Contest taking place at our 2nd meeting in August, our VPE team has arranged for a couple of mini-workshops (20 min tips sharing) for us on how to get prepared for the contests. With the kind support of 2 seasoned contestants from our club, we are pleased to bring the following programme to you:
26 Jul Andrew Yeung on Humorous Speech Contest -- "Laugh Towards Your Goal"; 9 Aug Asta Lee on Evaluation Speech Contest -- "How to Perform at Your Best".
Please come and join us at these 2 meetings to learn more and benefit from our 2 speakers.
In addition, I would also like to take this opportunity to mention that Asta will also be running an Evaluation workshop for beginner evaluators at the Division Level on 7 Aug. This workshop is a longer session, not the 20min one that Asta is running for our club. New members from our club and those of us who think that they need a refresher, please make time to join in Asta's workshop. We will announce the details of this workshop when we receive the update from the Division Governor.
Best regards,
Ong Ai Ai,
President,
HKTMC. |
