Steps to Success
The first meeting of the month was hosted by two Toastmasters of the Evening (TME), Edwin Lui and Sherry Chan. The pair of dynamic dual showed us the steps to run a successful Toastmasters meeting. Two new members Anthony Mok and Marco Tsang delivered their first speech “The Ice Breaker”; while Calvin Lee delivered his third project and Matthew Lee delivered an Advanced project. As usual, all speeches were evaluated by experienced members who gave valuable feedback for the speakers to further develop their speaking public speaking skills.

The second meeting of the month was held a few day before the 2015 Chinese New Year of the Goat. As the oldest Club in Hong Kong, we have invited the 2nd oldest Club in Hong Kong, Victoria Toastmasters Club, for a joint meeting. Accomplished speakers from both clubs, including Sandy Chan and Jonathan Mok from Hong Kong Toastmasters, Luigi La Tona and Yogesh Kapoor from Victoria Toastmasters, delivered quality speeches from both the Competent Communication manual and Advanced manuals. Their speeches were evaluated by an “all-star” team of Evaluators from both clubs including Asta Lee, Pan Tsang, Brian Hodgson and Arthur Ting! The quality of the evaluations were as good as those in Evaluation Speech Contests! The overall meeting was evaluated by our Area Governor KC Tang as General Evaluator.
