Q1) Do I need to make request for being a guest to observe your club meeting?
No advance reservation is needed for being a guest to attend our club meeting. However, you are requested to pay admission fee of HK$50 at our reception desk to share the booking cost of the venue.
Q2) When is your next club meeting?
Our club meeting will be held on the 1st, 3rd and 5th working Monday of each month. You can usually find information about our next meeting, including a link to the agenda, on the home page of our website at https://www.toastmasters.org.hk/calendar
Q3) What are the requirements for being a member of your club?
If you are over 18 years old and you think you have a fair good command of spoken English, you are eligible to apply for our club membership.
Q4) Is there any toastmaster club in Hong Kong for children or teenagers?
We are not aware of any toastmaster club in Hong Kong for children or teenagers.
Q5) How much should I pay for being a member of your club?
You should pay a one-time registration fee (HK$250) plus a membership fee for the remainder of the club year, which ends on the 30th September(i.e., HK$120 x number of months remaining, current month and September, inclusive).
Q6) What will I get for being a member of your club?
After the completion of your membership registration, you can start your toastmaster journey. You will receive a member login at Toastmaster International to enhance your public speaking skills and leadership skills. Please come to one of our club meeting as a guest and we will explain you more details in person.
Q7) What is the membership application procedure ?
Becoming a Member of the Hong Kong Toastmasters Club
1. Submit your completed application form to one of the VP Membership.
2. Pay a one-time registration fee of HK$250 plus the annual membership fee of HK$120 x remaining months.
3. Payment method:
- Cheque (made payable to “Hong Kong Toastmasters Club”) or
- Deposit to the Hong Kong Toastmasters Club’s HSBC bank account No. 004-600-635213-001 (please give or email the receipt to the Treasurer)
Note: Our club year runs from October through September next year. The annual fee for membership applications accepted during the year will be prorated.
