Last week, to kick start the new beginning of the term, our members came with 3 deeply human journeys, and one powerful reminder: the most impactful stories are the ones we live offline. 🫀
Imran kicked things off with “Neel and Me — From the Sea to Hong Kong.” He took everyone on a moving journey from life at sea to finding a voice through journaling and Toastmasters. It was a heartfelt story filled with reflection, growth, and a few well-timed laughs.
While Imran spoke about finding a voice, Vishnu reminded us of the noise we need to tune out. He challenged us on how we blindly follow people who tell us how to live, while our real lives quietly happen offline. Social media only shows one side—life demands the full story. His message was clear: mute the noise, unfollow the drama, and live it for real.
Living life “for real” means showing up for unexpected human connections, just like Stephanie did. Two years ago, she took an Uber ride and accidentally opened the emotional floodgates of a single-dad driver. In a wild twist of fate, she later discovered the driver was her own student’s father. That one raw conversation with a stranger ultimately transformed her relationship with the girl, resolved her classroom attitude problems, and led to a deeper understanding of her student.
From high-seas reflections to digital detoxes and serendipitous Uber rides, this session reminded us that connection changes everything. Thank you to our incredible speakers for keeping it real and inspiring us all to live a more intentional story! 🎙️✨
