Last night’s meeting lived up to its theme, “Heartfelt Speeches,” with members sharing moving stories of legacy, passion, change, and renewal.
Arthur Wong took us back to his childhood, painting a touching portrait of his father’s guidance in his studies. Years after his father’s passing, he still feels the profound impact of those lessons, especially when comparing his father’s own weathered school notes to his own – a powerful testament to a parent’s enduring influence.
Lavanya Ramesh shared an infectious, newly discovered passion – badminton. As someone who never played sports, she described how picking up a racket transformed her conversations, her energy, and even how her colleagues see her. Her story was a vibrant reminder that it’s never too late to find a hobby that brings you joy.
In a speech about quiet transformation, Vishnu Reddy described his journey from a lazy lifestyle to one of active discipline. He showed us how intentionally building small, positive habits into daily life can create powerful, lasting personal change.
Finally, Denzel Howarth delivered a vital reminder on what it means to be truly rich: health. After pushing himself relentlessly from a young age, a heart attack became a turning point. He spoke candidly about re-evaluating his life, switching careers, and choosing a path that prioritises time to live and enjoy the moment.
Thank you to all our speakers for their courage, vulnerability, and inspiration. It was a night full of genuine connection and powerful reminders to our large crowd – 27 of them actually guests of the evening!
A huge thank you to our speakers for their vulnerability and wisdom. Here’s to discovering new horizons, together!
